Tosin Gbadegesin is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Howard University with almost a decade of experience applying data-driven solutions to complex policy and business problems. At the World Bank Group, she leads the design, strategy, and implementation of the IFC’s Private Sector Gender and Economic Inclusion Data Hub—overseeing technical development, integrating diverse data sources, and managing cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact analytics.
Tosin has contributed to high-stakes projects across multiple World Bank Group departments, applying econometric modeling, machine learning, and causal inference to inform strategic decision-making and investment evaluation. Her work bridges the intersection of applied microeconomics, causal ML, energy, environmental, and urban economics, producing actionable insights for policy and private sector development.
She holds an M.A. in Economics and is completing her Ph.D. at Howard University, along with an M.Sc. in Sustainable Development from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her academic and professional work are grounded in quantitative rigor, policy relevance, and sustainable development goals.
